Case studiesFrom Neglected Hangar to Functional Workspace
Project Value£1.2m
Brenmar completely transformed the offices and aircraft hangar at an MOD site to accommodate several Chinook helicopters and associated operatives/staff.
We refurbished the office spaces in a disused hanger at an Air Force Site. The works comprised of full electrical install to all the offices together with new power supplies for the aircraft. AC installation throughout provided heating/cooling to all office areas. The new spaces also received complete make-over with new doors, blinds, and wall decoration.
The communal area was redesigned with new kitchen and breakout space. The toilets were also refurbished with installation of new sanitaryware. Following our client’s wishes Brenmar installed new ‘Operation Cabins’ within the hangar space along with additional power supplies/office furniture.
Flooring throughout the Hanger office areas was replaced with new carpet tiles and vinyl flooring. Following the demolition of an unused building and utilising adjacent unused space our groundwork team created a large carpark for the additional staff required to work in the newly refurbished hanger.
Due to the nature of the site, Brenmar faced and overcame with ease the logistical challenges. There was restricted access to site where all deliveries and entry had to follow the MOD regulations.
With its great team on site and open communication with the client, Brenmar completed the project on time and within budget accommodating ongoing design changes.
