Brenmar was appointed to carry out extensive remodelling for the London headquarters of a leading broadcaster. The project saw a complete reworking of two floors of facilities, creating a café, workspaces, treatment rooms, a demo lounge, rack room and re-rated communications room.

The £600,000 scheme involved full mechanical and electrical functionality, flooring and decoration, working around the broadcaster’s operation and causing minimal disruption. It was a requirement to pay close attention to noise levels, and shutdowns of existing services and connections had to be carefully managed so they took place out of working hours.

Brenmar prepared and managed all CDM documentation.

All existing redundant partitions and mechanical and electrical services were removed.

The Atrium Café involved work on multiple elements including wall and floor finishes, electrical work, and supplying mechanical and ventilation services to all equipment.

Meanwhile, the data comms room needed various specialist measures including one-hour fire compartment partitions, electrical supplies including a protected uninterruptible power supply, data infrastructure and fire detection and suppression systems.

We also created an occupational health suite and consulting rooms, dealing with partitions, wall and floor finishes, to HVAC modifications and specialist facilities to maintain inter room speech confidentiality. We created similar services and facilities for a secure office suite.

Overall, we successfully revitalised a range of facilities, with the Atrium Café quickly becoming a popular venue for informal working and meetings.
